Minto's pyramid says a clear argument starts from a single governing thought and supports it with a small number of mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive pillars — each in turn resting on evidence. Lens borrows this shape to read a page's argument: the org chart shows the governing thought on top, the pillars beneath it, and the proofs beneath those. A page reads cleanly when its pillars don't overlap and together cover the claim; it reads muddy when a pillar is missing, doubled, or unsupported. The seven-move Throughline is the same idea told as a sequence rather than a tree.
